In the spat between Minister Danam Nagender and Opposition Leader Chandrababu Naidu, it is another Minister D Sridhar Babu who comes across as a blatant liar.
If you see the video of the exchange, it is evident that Nagender threatened that he would not allow TDP MLA Revamt Reddy to move around in Hyderabad. While Nagender rightly defended himself that he had resigned as MLA because he won on TDP ticket before joining Congress, he was also clearly intimidating the Member.
However, when Chandrababu took strong objection to Nagender’s warning, Sridhar Babu blatantly twisted Nagender’s comment, saying that the Minister was only saying that ‘the people of Hyderabad would not leave him alone, if false allegations are made’.
See the clip for yourself to know how Sridhar Babu’s distorts and misleads the House. Surprising that a man of his stature should indulge in such a bluff. And look at how amused another Minister Kondru Murali was at the ingenuity of Sridhar Babu.
Interestingly, on CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s demand, the Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said he was expunging the ‘personal remarks’ in the exchange from the records. But how effective is his ruling in the time of live tv?
