TRS is now targeting Telangana Congress leaders for the slow-down in the agitation for separate state. A report in Namaste Telanana blames Congress leaders from the region as being responsible for the deadlock.
Ministers Jana Reddy, Geetha Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Damodara Raja Narasimha are competing with one another for the CM’s chair, the report alleged. Central Minister Jaipal Reddy and former PCC president D Srinivas are also vying with them to prove their loyalty to the high command.
Every one of these leaders is making claims with the party high command that if they were given an opportunity they would ‘take care’ of the agitation for separate state with iron hand.
Telangana Congress MPs are far better as they chose to adopt a defiant posture in regard to the agitation, but even they have gone back on their adversarial role with the leadership of the party for fear of falling out with Delhi, says the party.
It may be recalled that TRS chief KCR was always friendly with most of these leaders, and even visited Jana Reddy’s residence often in the past.
The paper, the mouthpiece of TRS, paid compliments to the MLAs such as Rajaiah, Jupally Krishna Rao and Somarapu Satyanarayana who resigned from their parties and joined hands with them.
Meanwhile, the confrontation between TRS and TDP shows no signs of abatement. On Monday, followers of TRS and TDP clashed when Kavitha came to visit a local jatara in Errabelli Dayakar Rao’s constituency who questioned her ‘locus standi’ in participating the event.
