KCR never fails in coming up with statements that can create confusion in the opposition ranks. On Sunday, he came up with interesting remarks about Kovur by-election.
He said a leader from ‘Andhra Rashtra Praja Samithi’ requested him to campaign for the party’s candidate in Kovur in Nellore district. KCR said his party was considering the request.
The TRS chief also said there was a thinking in the party that TRS should field a candidate in Kovvur to expose the ‘Andhra’ parties. No one will vote for TRS in Kovur, even while ‘Andhra’ parties are contesting in Telangana, he added, promising he would address a press conference on Monday in this regard after a discussion within the party.
Reacting to Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks on TRS vanishing from the political scene soon, KCR lambasted the TDP chief. Interestingly, he came up with the same old allegations that YSR Congress has been mouthing against ‘Naidu’s corruption’ time and again.
Declaring that he would expose the TDP chief’s ill-gotten wealth with evidence ‘very soon’, he took up the oft-repeated charge about how Babu’s mother, who hailed from a marginal farmer’s family, could gift Rs 50 lakh worth land to her grandson Lokesh.
He also asked the TDP chief to provide bank details of payments made for his son’s foreign education, if Naidu indeed paid for it. (These details are already in public domain. (Click here for more)
There is nothing new in KCR taking on Chandrababu Naidu on a regular basis. But what is interesting to note is that TRS Chief is liberally borrowing from YSR Congress Party’s lexicon as far as the TDP chief is concerned. And noteworthy is also the fact that KCR did not say a word about Jagan till date.
