The YSR Congress Party has issued a legal notice to Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy for his remarks against Jaganmohan Reddy. It may be recalled that Anam created a flutter recently when he made scathing remarks against Jagan, alleging that the YSR CP leader deserved to be hanged if there was such a law for limitless corruption.
Seething with anger at the condemnation, the party has decided to proceed legally to counter the erstwhile colleague of YSR. “It is improper for a serving Minister to make remarks in a case which is being tried by the court. It amounts to influencing the process of the courts. Anam should resign from his position immediately,” YSR CP vice-president Sivaprasad who issued the legal notice said.
Demanding that Anam should offer unconditional apology for his sweeping allegations against Jagan and his YSR’s family, Sivaprasad said if the Minister failed to make amends, the party would proceed with defamation suit. He also demanded that the Governor Narasimhan should interfere and dismiss Anam Ramanarayana Reddy for his intemperate and unconstitutional remarks.
Anam family is opportunistic and switched parties starting from Janasangh to Janata to TDP and then Congress. It is thanks to YSR’s generosity that this family enjoyed political power, Sivaprasad said.
