K A Paul is indeed taking his political foray very seriously this time around. He has not only announced candidates for many of the seats going for the by-polls, but also has taken up the campaign very seriously.

His latest attempt at mixing religion with politics seems to have left him with a bitter experience at Ongole. Paul organized his ‘peace conference’ at Ongole where he started off with his gospel, but slowly turned his talk political.

He talked about castes, highlighting the fact that he was a Kapu but married a Dalit girl. He made fun of Chiranjeevi, who he said orphaned Kapus. He said people are coming forward to vote for his Praja Shanti Party.

Even as Paul was waxing eloquent about his Praja Shanti Party, there were rumbles among crowd. Soon, some people gathered near the stage and shouted down Paul, alleging he was talking politics instead of Christ. The well-attended meeting finally ended in a chaos.
