TDP is leaving no opportunity to deride TRS and Congress link. The widely reported meeting of C L Rajam, the CMD of Namaste Telangana, with AP Congress Affairs incharge Gulam Nabi Azad in Delhi on Wednesday has given another handle to TDP to take on TRS.
TDP Telangana leader Dayakar Rao questioned as to why TRS and its associates including Kodandaram issued no statement against CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s recent visit to Medak. It was because of the understanding between the two parties that TRS is not raising a finger against the Chief Minister’s visit, the TDP leader lambasted.
The TDP also said that Rajam’s meeting with Azad in the presence of Chief Minister was clearly to sort out the issues regarding Polavaram contract.
Meanwhile, stung by the criticism over Rajam’s meeting with Azad, TRS tried to distance itself with the CMD of Namaste Telangana, saying that Rajam was in no way connected to TRS or Telangana movement. “He is a businessman like any other. So he can meet anybody from any party. This is all Seemandhra conspiracy against a rising Telangana businessman,” TRS leader and former MP Vinod Kumar said.
KCR is a partner in Namaste Telangana, while Rajam is a partner in Sew Constructions. A final decision on awarding the Polavaram contract to Sew Constructions is to be taken in a few days.
It will be interesting to see how Polavaram will unfold in the next few days.
