Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been signed to star in the Hindi remake of award winning Telugu film Magadheera, which catapulted Ram Charan Teja into big league.
The rights of the S S Rajamouli directed historical romantic drama, have been bought by Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap’s company.
“ Ranveer is the best thing that could have happened to Magadheera. He has all the ingredients to be a passionate lover a warrior and an entertainer all at the same time. All the biggest fans of Magadheera are coming together to re-live its magic with the support of Allu Aravind (producer of the original film),” said Bahl.
Magadheera will go on floors this year with a budget of 50 crores. Director and heroine are yet to be announced for the venture.
